Five on Friday

5:40:00 PM

For this Five on Friday, I decided to take you for a tour around my house of my 5 favorite things.  Now of course these probably change from week to week, cause I am one of those people that move things around a lot.  But these are a few things that either bring a happy thought, make me laugh or things I just think are pretty.

Enjoy.

ONE:
Fresh Flowers.
With Monday starting off in the 70's, it was only necessary that we bring some spring indoors.

TWO:

The words that are such a great reminder to me every time we walk down the hallway.  Even on those long walks of carrying a screaming toddler throwing a temper tantrum... this reminds me to choose JOY.

THREE:

These are table legs... from my great-grandma's farmhouse table.  I used to live in her house and these were rotting away in the woodshed.  A few weeks before moving to Wilmington I discovered these poking out under a wood pile.  I decided to bring them along and this what they became.  A huge improvement from the rotten yellow that they once were.

FOUR:
My girls... when I make their beds, this always catches my eyes.  I want to spend my days as their mom always reminding them that they are a princess in the eyes of their King.  Another reason why I make their beds with a smile.  I want them to feel loved and special even in the small things.

 FIVE:
When things get tough, this and a cup of coffee are always a good reminder that He is near.  This was the word He gave our family for the year and it has been such a staple in reminding us of where we are heading of this year.  Good things to come.

What was your 2014 word?

    1. Thank you Nina... I am definitely a sentimental person so it is very hard for me to discard anything. Especially when I can usually add some paint and find it a pretty home. I love the memories attached to the little things throughout.
